KitKat

My Husband and I had spoken about adding a pup to the family for a very long time. I am absolutely animal mad and needless to say it’s definitely rubbed off on hubby. The minute we saw the adoption ad for “KitKat” – now “Skye” it was definitely love at 1st sight. Her characteristics definitely ticked all the boxes for us and without hesitation I filled out an application form. It was a grueling wait anticipating a response, without trying to get our hopes up too much. We progressed through to the next stages of the process and made a 12hr return trip up to meet this special girl. The meet and greet went well, we fell even more in love with Skye and we formed a very special connection with her loving foster family also and then ball was in our court…. Of course it was most definitely a YES WE WOULD LOVE TO ADOPT HER 💖 A few weeks passed in order to get some things in place and then we found ourselves making the big trip up the line again but this time to bring our girl home 🥰 It has been the most heartfelt experience watching Skye open up and come out of her shell. She is the sweetest, most gentle and loving little girl and we feel so blessed to have her become apart of our family. As each day passes we all learn more about each other and make progress in leaps and bounds. Are hearts are full and we look forward to our future ahead with Skye. A massive thank you to Ree for making this all possible and for all that she does for the dogs of NZ and also a very special thank you to Skyes foster family for entrusting us with there sweet girl and for doing such a marvelous job raising her thus far.
